Illegal alien marijuana backpacks on the border - October 9, 2009
About 90 pounds of marijuana in backpacks were recovered in Hog Canyon, east of Douglas, Arizona. The border patrol pulled about 60 illegal aliens out of the canyon early in the morning. Two groups of dope smugglers went through. One smuggler was caught. The others got away, but dropped their bumdles.
It is becoming more common practice for coyotes to force illegal aliens to carry backpacks of marijuana across the border as part of their fee for being smuggled into the United States in violation of American law.
