Delighted that Trump is making good on promise to enforce immigration laws
Sunday, December 03, 2017
The article âRules shifted abruptly, and fear rushed inâ (Page A1, Nov. 26, online headline was different) highlights some indisputable truths on illegal immigration. As it is with all crimes, the threat of enforcement causes great discomfort for the perps. During the campaign, Donald Trump promised to tighten enforcement of our immigration laws. To the delight of Americans who value the rule of law, Matt Viserâs extended report shows us that that promise is being kept.
The United States takes in more legal immigrants than any other nation on the planet. To wink at the *illegal immigrants who have been allowed to assume that we have officially open borders, or that our already liberal immigration laws do not apply to them, is to dishonor not only real immigrants but also the rich tradition of joining the American family according to American rules.
Another glaring revelation in the story is that Mexican citizen Anayeli Cruz, one of the victims of borders who was interviewed, could only tell your reporter how tough her life is now in York, Pa., through a translator, after having been looking for a better life in the United States for about 12 years.
Many thanks to the Globe for confirming what most people already know about immigration: Enforcement works.

Image of drivers license issued to legal immigrants, guest workers and to illegal aliens with deferred action on deportation in Georgia – DDS
In Georgia, the Department of Drivers Services accommodates eleven (11) foreign languages for the road rules written exam.
California does the same, but uses fourteen (14) foreign languages (is there really such a thing as a “foreign language” in California?).
We predict that the people who really run Georgia will soon catch up and eventually out-do California. ICYMI, Georgia has passed the fifty thousand marker on the number of drivers licenses and/or official photo ID Cards it has issued to illegal aliens who have deferred action on deportation.Â
Georgia gives these happy deferred action illegal aliens the exact same drivers license we give to real immigrants and Mercedes Benz executives. Even California has a notably different drivers license for the formerly “undocumented.”
Mexico does not issue drivers licenses to any illegal aliens. When the Democrats were last in power in Georgia, illegal aliens could not legally obtain a Georgia drivers license.

Feds Going After Fast-Food Chain Employing Illegal Immigrants
ICE is investigating allegations that the company paid the workers less than the minimum wage, says report
Lost in the Thanksgiving shuffle last week was a potentially important story that federal investigators are preparing a case against a fast-food restaurant chain accused of hiring illegal immigrants and paying them less than the minimum wage.
The Daily Beast, which broke the story and cited an internal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) document, did not name the company. If it is true, it would represent the first major immigration workplace enforcement action since President Donald Trump took office.

“If ICE really does this operation, it will be a sign that things are changing,” said Jessica Vaughan, director of policy studies at the Washington-based Center for Immigration Studies. “This would be a very important move to restore workplace enforcement.”
Vaughan and other immigration hawks long have complained that enforcement at job sites has been a glaring deficiency in Trump’s immigration efforts, which otherwise have shown marked progress over his predecessor’s.
“It almost begs the question, why they did they wait almost seven months to begin doing it?” said Chris Chmielenski, director of content and activism at NumbersUSA.

Acting ICE Director Thomas Homan, whom Trump has tapped to lead the agency permanently, acknowledged last month at a Heritage Foundation event that there has been little workplace enforcement. But he pledged to correct that.
The Daily Beast report quoted an unnamed ICE official as saying that the operation would target restaurants across the country and likely would result in charges of “harboring illegal aliens.” The official added that the workers were “basically being used as slave labor.” More HERE

The New York Times did a news piece today on 287(g) and illegal aliens. And a local anti-enforcement “journalist” (uh-oh, Mario) who helps victims of borders escape capture. It made me remember this. With great pride.

Over 90 Percent of Alleged MS-13 Members Arrested in Recent ICE Operation Were Illegal Aliens
In a new operation that ended on November 16, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested or assisted in apprehending 267 alleged members of the notorious trans-national MS-13 gang. The first phase of the operation, dubbed âRaging Bull,â led to 53 arrests in El Salvador. Phase two, which occurred on U.S. soil between October 8 and November 11, led to 214 arrests nationwide.
Almost all of the gang members apprehended in the U.S. were illegal aliens, according to ICE. Of those arrested, 198 were foreign nationals, including 193 illegal aliens. Only 16 were U.S. citizens. Additionally, 64 crossed the border illegally at some point as unaccompanied alien minors (UAMs).
ICE Deputy Director, Thomas Homan, praised the results. âMS-13 has long been a priority for ICE. However we are now combating the gang with renewed focus and an unprecedented level of cooperation among DHSâs components and our domestic and international partners.â He also promised that more operations like these will take place in the future. âWe will not rest until every member, associate, and leader of MS-13 has been held accountable for their crimes, and those in this country illegally have been removed.â
President Trump promised that apprehending and prosecuting gang members would be a priority in his administration. So far, ICE has assisted in arresting 4,000 MS-13 members in the United States and across Central America, primarily El Salvador. Within the United States, the arrests have secured the convictions of some 1,200 gang members.
MS-13 has an estimated 10,000 or more members, so the efforts of the Trump administration have made a significant impact in slowing down the activity of a gang that engages primarily in human and drug trafficking, as well as other heinous crimes such as child prostitution… More here.

Freedom University: Educating Undocumented Young People In Georgia
Koteles: How can documented people support undocumented people?
Soltis: Documented people like myself can start by recognizing that the undocumented experience actually has a lot to teach us. First and foremost, it challenges us to rethink basic notions of citizenship: is citizenship defined by how we act or the arbitrary location of our birth? It challenges us to think about how we as U.S. citizens benefit from a current world system of global apartheid, where some people can travel across borders freely to study abroad, to go on vacation, to learn from cultural exchanges, while others â primarily people of color from formerly colonized countries â are confined to the borders in which they were born. EXCLUSIVE: Illegal Aliens Killed Border Patrol Agent by Crushing in His Skull with Rocks, Says NBPC
Exclusive details have emerged on the early morning attack against Border Patrol agents that left one agent dead and another hospitalized in serious condition on November, 19 2017. Breitbart Texas first broke the news of the death and injuries and now the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) says that their agents on the ground have stated that the agents were tracking a group of illegal aliens who then beat the agents with rocks until one was killed and the other hospitalized.
Border Patrol Agent Brandon Judd, also president of the NBPC, stated, âWhat we know is that Border Patrol Agent Rogilio Martinez appears to have been ambushed by a group of illegal aliens whom he was tracking. Our agentsâ reports from the ground say that he was struck in the head multiple times with a rock or rocks.â
Agent Judd continued, âThe other agent arrived on scene a short time later and was also ambushed and struck in the head with what is believed to have been a rock or rocks. These disgusting acts and complete disregard for human life need to stop immediately. Family members of slain Agent Martinez will never get to see him come home again all because we have failed to secure our borders from such criminals.â
Shortly after Breitbart Texas broke the news of the incident, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) confirmed that one Border Patrol agent was dead and another hospitalized in serious condition; however, authorities would not provide more details. Breitbart Texas was unable to confirm the details with CBP and other federal agencies. The NBPC is the organization that represents approximately 16,000 of our nationâs Border Patrol agents.
Our original report is included below.
One Border Patrol agent is dead and his partner left hospitalized in serious condition in the Big Bend Sector of Texas. The FBI is leading the investigation while Border Patrol Special Operations agents and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Air and Marine Operations aircrews are currently searching the area for possible attackers.
