Amnesty Activists Call OC Supervisor ‘Racist B*tch’ for Opposing CA ‘Sanctuary’ Laws

One of the four Orange County Supervisors who voted this week for the county to join the Trump administration’s lawsuit against California’s “sanctuary state” laws said she was called a “racist b*tch” by pro-amnesty activists.
Michelle Steel, who is a legal immigrant from South Korea and said she speaks with an accent because English is her third language behind Korean and Japanese, told Fox & Friends on Wednesday that it was the first time in her life that she was actually called a “racist.”

Orange County’s Board of Supervisors voted 4-0 this week to join the Justice Department’s lawsuit challenging California’s “sanctuary state” laws. Steel said Senate Bill 54, the most prominent “sanctuary state” bill that prevents local officials from honoring Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer requests, “poses a real threat to our local communities as it cripples our law enforcement from working with federal authorities to identify dangerous criminals in our communities.”

“We’re going to have more counties joining us,” Steel predicted Wednesday on Fox News. “Altogether, we’re going to fight [against] this bad law.”

Orange County’s monumental vote followed a 4-1 vote last week by Los Alamitos’s city council to pass an ordinance defying California’s SB 54 “sanctuary state” law. Other cities in Orange County like Huntington Beach, Mission Viejo, Aliso Viejo, Buena Park, and Yorba Linda are likely to have discussions in the coming weeks to defy the state’s “sanctuary” laws. San Diego County and the city of Escondido will also reportedly discuss the matter in April… MORE HERE.

DAVID RALSTON – holds House open for two bills. What did these bills do?

Despite a Resolution to end the 2018 General Assembly at midnight yesterday, Republican Speaker David Ralston kept the evening going well past that hour. He told the House members that the senate was still going ( it wasn’t, they were waiting for him) and that the House would not adjourn for the year until two bills were transmitted over from the other chamber. One of those bills was HB 978 – legislation that deals with cameras and “automated traffic enforcement.”

The bills eventually arrived from the senate and the now restless and paper ball-tossing members were called back to order to vote to agree on both bills (we think the other bill was HB951).

What would be so important about these measures that the Speaker would hold the House in session past the deadline?

This is out of our area of expertise, but several sources inside the legislature assure us that HB978 would help put money directly into the pockets of Ralston’s son, Matt Ralston who apparently works for or helps with contracting for state use of the school zone roadway cameras that automatically dispense citations to violators.

Maybe the reporters who get paid to sniff out corruption in Georgia government will take a look at this one…

BONUS: A little insight into the business dealings and influence of Speaker David Ralston outside the state Capitol here.

SB452 dies in the Georgia House!

“Conservatives: Shut up, go to work, pay your taxes and vote Republican, we will call on you when we need you for votes to stay in power… Suckers!…Be sure to vote for us in November”

WELCOME TO ‘GEORGIAFORNIA!’

* Speaker refuses to call life-saving illegal immigration enforcement bill, SB452, for a vote on last day of session.

*The bill had the votes to pass!

*Georgia state Capitol crawling with illegal aliens on last day of session!

*Illegal aliens dancing in the streets! Glee and merriment at the liberal AJC!

SB421 is dead because Republican Speaker David Ralston refused to call it up for a floor vote last night, which was the final day of the General Assembly. Only some Republican House members are shocked and angry.

Welcome to ‘Georgiafornia’, where we have more illegal aliens than Arizona and where the Republican Speaker of the House, David Ralston, turns his back on protecting Georgians in favor of the vast corporate-funded illegal alien lobby.

You can read more about the power of the corporate-funded anti-borders lobby and SB 452 from the liberal AJC HERE.

AJC gets it wrong: Inaccurate report on important senate amendment *UPDATE – Galloway corrected the copy, but as usual for the AJC, there was no notation of the error or the correction

The AJC, in it’s “Politically Georgia” email report (and on Jim Galloway’s blog and Twitter page) gets it wrong on an amendment offered by Senator Josh McKoon (Amendment #6) to HB 673. The amendment said DDS could not issue drivers licenses and ID cards to illegal aliens that are REAL ID Act compliant, which is currently the only tier of credential issued.

It allowed for a second tier of license/ID Card for illegal aliens as per the REAL ID Act that would not be acceptable for federal ID such as boarding an airliner or entering a military base. But it could still be used for driving privileges.

AJC today:

“State Sen. Josh McKoon, R-Columbus, a candidate for secretary of state, tried the same tactic, but didn’t get the same kind of pushback.

Prabhu reports that McKoon introduced and then withdrew an amendment that would have made it harder for teens to get a court waiver to avoid having to notify their parents about an abortion.

And he unsuccessfully sought an amendment during the debate of the distracted driving bill that would keep illegal immigrants from getting a driver’s license.

The last sentence is not accurate and will serve to further confuse lawmakers who should already understand this issue. *UPDATE: Here (below) is the copy that was inserted as a correction, but no note was made of the error or the correction. And it is still not accurate.

Republican State Senate Votes Down Amendment (19-32) To Create Second Tier of Drivers Licenses and ID Cards for Illegal Aliens“ Who Already Have Official Georgia Credentials

About 22,000 illegal aliens have ID that is used to board airliners and access military bases. Confusion on voter registration a certainty.

D.A. King

How did your state senator vote on driver’s licenses for illegal aliens late last night? Only 19 voted “YEA.”

Conservative, state Senator Josh McKoon put forth an amendment (Amendment #6) to HB673 in the senate that would have changed the driver’s license and official ID Cards Georgia has issued to about 22,000 “aliens without lawful status” since 2012 under Governor Nathan Deal. Currently, these illegal aliens are issued the exact same driver’s license as legal immigrants and guest workers here on a legal visa such as Mercedes Benz and KIA executives.

It looks like this:

Drivers license issued to all non-citizens in Georgia, legal status or illegal status. Photo: DDS

Those driver’s licenses can be and are used to board airliners and enter federal buildings. Just like U.S. citizens’ documents – and they are easily confused with the drivers license issued to American citizens. McKoon’s amendment simply said that Georgia must follow the REAL ID Act when issuing alternative licenses. Other states, including California, Michigan and South Carolina already have multiple tiers of drivers licenses.

Here is a fact sheet on the issue.

We have official word from United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) that these illegals include aliens who have already been ordered deported, aliens who are under a final order of removal who are on an order of supervision because they cannot be immediately removed and illegal aliens who have been granted a delay or deferral in deportation proceedings. Because this category includes DACA illegals, many Republican legislators are terrified about what the liberal media will say if they vote to give these illegal aliens a different drivers license that is not accepted for federal ID.

USCIS makes it clear that DACA recipients do not have lawful status or “lawful presence” here.

It is expected that the Republican-controlled Georgia state senate will have an opportunity to vote on this issue again on the last day of session tomorrow. A complete list of senators and contact information can be seen here.

EARLIER TONIGHT: How did your Republican senator vote on drivers licenses for illegals? Here are the senators who helped try to change the drivers licenses Georgia issues to aliens without lawful status so they are different than legal immigrants drivers licenses

The below link goes to Amendment 6 to HB 673 introduced by Senator Josh McKoon last night on the senate floor. UPDATE: See the bottom of this post.

*Below are the senators who voted YES (to change the current license). Don’t see yours? Here is contact info. There will be a do-over.

We want a YES vote! The illegal alien lobby wants a NO vote.

Senate vote about 10:20 tonight on changing the drivers license Georgia issues to non-citizens who USCIS says lack lawful status so that those licenses are not exactly like legal immigrant’s drivers licenses. It was Amendment 6, to HB 673.

Below are the “YES” votes. The rest of the senate either did not vote or voted to keep giving illegal aliens the same drivers license we issue to aliens with lawful status. These licenses can and are used to board airliners and enter federal buildings.

The amendment, from Senator Josh McKoon, required Georgia to follow the REAL ID Act on alternative drivers licenses.

The amendment failed 19-32 in a Republican senate. Here is a list of the senate members.

We are grateful to these senators who voted YES:
