Another Senate Cloture Vote Around the Corner
From www.NumbersUSA.com Another Senate Cloture Vote Around the Corner
(June 27) The Senate is carrying out a series of votes to table amendments to S. 1639, the “corrected and updated” version of S. 1348. The purpose is to kill amendments that supporters of the so-called “grand compromise” think may harm the bill’s chances for passage before they are fully debated or brought up for a vote on adoption under the normal process. Another cloture vote β this one to bring debate to a close (and, again, for which a βYESβ vote will be considered as a vote for amnesty) β is slated for tomorrow (June 28).
