American Pro-Enforcement Immigration Dictionary

“Corso-Facts”

Top definition:

Corso-Facts are any statement of “fact” or intentional malicious defamation that Gainesville, Georgia’s anti-enforcement and apparently anything-for-a-buck immigration lawyer, Arturo Corso , says are “facts” when he wants or needs them to be “facts” – even when they are demonstrably false.

THE ILLEGAL ALIEN LOBBY: Introducing Georgia’s deep thinker, Arturo Corso – and “Corso-Facts”

Arturo Corso

Introducing immigration lawyer Arturo Corso of Gainesville Georgia

First in a series and part of my sooner-or-later book.

By any definition, Gainesville’s village thinker, Arturo Corso, is part of Georgia’s vast illegal alien lobby. A reminder: According to DHS, Georgia has more illegal aliens than Arizona, who are the stock in trade for immigration lawyers like Corso.

To get readers started on the character, intent and accuracy of Arturo Corso, let’s take a look back to 2011 when the Georgia General Assembly was considering the internationally media-covered HB 87, a bill that eventually became law and was designed to protect jobs, wages, benefits and services from the crimes of illegal empllyment and illegal immigration.

Corso testified before an all Democrat legislative hearing designed to collect exactly the nonsense testimony Corso and other anti-enforcement activists went on to offer. Corso’s testimony included the “Corso-Fact” that in the one million legal immigrants per year the U.S. takes in, there is no avenue for citizens of Mexico to enter the USA legally:

“There have been frequent calls to my law office. Once, every two weeks, a well-known, Anglo-American business owner of significant wealth calls me and asks me how they can go about legalizing their employees,” Corso said.

“The truth is, they really can’t. There is a great myth that there is a legal path to come to the U.S. There is no lawful path to come to the U.S. if you are a Mexican.”

Corso then went on to tell senators there was a 15-year backlog for Mexicans hoping to get enter the U.S. legally. (HERE)

Got that? There is no way for Mexicans to come to the U.S. legally, but the existing system has a backlog.

The truth

The truth is that in 2011 – and every year for a very long time – it was Mexico that was number one in sending us their citizens.

According to the 2011 statistics yearbook  (Table 3, page 4) then provided by DHS, the same year that lawyer Corso claimed there was no way for Mexicans to legally immigrate, Mexico was not only the number one sending country, but it provided us with 143,446 Mexicans as legal immigrants. Nearly twice the number of nation number two. I know what you are thinking: What was nation number two? –  Communist China – which has now switched order with Mexico and is number one in sending its poor to America.

Lesson

When the illegal alien lobby says  “the immigration system is broken” they mean it is broken because we still have borders and don’t officially allow everyone on the planet to migrate to the United States. Yet.

There is much more education on and exposure coming for Arturo Corso. Stay tuned…

Drivers license for illegal aliens in Georgia. How different from yours does it look? Trust them, illegal aliens will never register to vote with their license – oh, wait…

Well, non-citizens voting in American elections cannot happen in Georgia…right? Oops.

Senator Johnny Isakson

Dear Senator Perdue,

It is with great concern that I am writing to you in opposition of President Obama’s effort to place Judge Dax Lopex on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

Judge Lopez’s 11 years of service on behalf of the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials (GALEO) would suggest prejudice towards law abiding citizens and law enforcement across this country.

GALEO has called for law enforcement to turn a blind eye towards criminals that have illegally penetrated our borders and then perpetrated crimes against the very citizens I am sworn to protect. They have insulted the front line law enforcement officers that protect our nation’s borders while aggressively lobbying against legislation intended to protect our citizens here in Georgia.

Considering Judge Lopez’s partnership and service on behalf of GALEO, I URGE YOU TO NOT SUPPORT this nomination to the U.S. Being in contact with my fellow sheriff’s and local constitutes there is absolutely no reason why Lopez should receive this appointment!!!!

Sincerely,

Mack Mason

Saporta Report Gwinnett County, Georgia

Gwinnett County’s dramatic demographic shift illustrates question: “Who are We?”

September 5, 2012,

By David Pendered

The notion that Gwinnett County is home to a population that’s predominately white and affluent is as out-of-date as the idea that two painted water towers along I-85 in Norcross still proclaim: “Success Lives Here.”

Gwinnett County’s iconic towers were demolished in 2010, the same year in which the Census recorded stunning shifts in the county’s demographics. Credit: www.11alive.com

The 40-year-old towers were torn down two years ago. In the decade before their demolition, 40,000 whites had moved out of Gwinnett. Now, the county’s population is predominately non-white, and less wealthy and less educated than it was in 2000.

The demographic shift in Gwinnett speaks to the broader question of “Who are We?” That was the topic Wednesday, at the quarterly meeting of the Atlanta Regional Housing Forum.
Out of the entire two-hour program, the most stunning report was provided by Lejla Slowinski, executive director of the Lawrenceville Housing Authority.

Slowinski provided a snapshot of Gwinnett’s population that gave some real heft to the demographic report on the metro Atlanta region that was delivered by Michael Rich, an associate professor of political science at Emory University who heads Emory’s Office of University-Community Partnerships.

Slowinski prefaced her remarks by saying she would talk later about ways in which Gwinnett’s civic and government leaders are leveraging the county’s diversity. But first, she said, she wanted to provide a bit of context about Gwinnett.
Speaking without any visual aids, such as a PowerPoint slide show, Slowinski riveted the audience’s attention with a cascade of nuggets derived from the 2000 and 2010 Census reports. The data shows that Gwinnett isn’t just changing – it is a changed community:

*Per capita income has fallen by $7,000;
*The proportion of whites in the overall population has fallen to 49.3 percent from 67 percent;
*No single Census tract has a white population of greater than 90 percent;
*32 percent of households speak a language other than English;
*61 percent of students in the county school system are non-whites;
*High school graduation rates for non-whites rose to 70 percent from 50 percent;
*25 percent of Gwinnett commuters spend at least 45 minutes a day in the car.

Sources other than the Census provide additional insights:
*18 percent of Gwinnett’s children live in poverty;
*The county’s poverty rate rose from 5.6 percent in 2000 to 13 percent in 2009;
*The number of foreclosures in Gwinnett has topped Fulton since 2009 (Fulton formerly had the region’s highest number of foreclosures).

One relevant point is that Gwinnett’s government and school board are trying to serve the human needs of this population with an ever-decreasing amount of tax revenues.At the Piece by Piece annual meeting last week, Gwinnett County Commission Chairman Charlotte Nash said the county’s digest has dropped 25 percent during the past five years. That decrease has reduced the amount of property taxes collected by the county and school system, which is the main source of funding for both governments.

“The population has continued to diversify,” Nash said. “According to the 2010 Census, Gwinnett was the most diverse county in the southeast. That very different from what it was 20 years. It’s created language considerations, and the demand for additional types of flexibility in terms of how we deal with the community.”

Slowinski said the Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce works diligently to reach out to, and serve, the minority business community. The number of firms owned by Hispanics and African Americans is still a small proportion of the overall mix, but it’s growing, she said.

“Gwinnett wants to be a middle of the road county, but also can see itself being an international gateway, and some of that is evident in the efforts to bring a [commercial] airport to the county,” Slowinski said. “They really are pushing the concept of, ‘Success Lives Here.’”

At the start of the meeting, Rich set the framework for the forum’s conversation. The purpose of the quarterly housing forum was to discuss ways in which changing demographics are reshaping the region.

Rich used a comparison of Census data from 2000 to 2010 to note that:

* The city of Atlanta’s population has shifted from almost ¾ African American to slightly more than half African American, as whites and other ethnic groups have moved into the central city;
* Non-whites represent almost half the population outside the city of Atlanta, a region in which whites formerly comprised over ¾ of the population;
* Poverty has risen dramatically in the suburbs, as opposed to being concentrated in the city of Atlanta;
* Whites tend to reside in Census tracts where most residents are white;
* African Americans and Hispanics tend to reside in communities where less than half the other residents are of their heritage.

ACTION NEEDED: Obama nomination! Please help us end consideration of leftist GALEO’s DAX LOPEZ for activist federal judge!

Posted by D.A. King at 11:50 am - Email the author   Print This Post Print This Post

ACTION NEEDED PLEASE! 5 minutes of your time

Obama has nominated an anti-enforcement immigration activist, Dax Lopez, from the Jane-Fonda supported anti-borders GALEO Corp , for federal judge in the Northern District of Georgia. This is a lifetime appointment.

Because of the public pressure created by our recent educational efforts, Lopez resigned from the Board of Directors of the activist group GALEO in early September. He had been on the board since 2004. He served as Treasurer. He helped raise money at GALEO fundraisers as keynote speaker.

He did not resign when GALEO lobbied against numerous state bills aimed at protecting Georgians from the crime of illegal immigration. Or when GALEO joined other leftist groups marching in the streets of Atlanta demanding an end to enforcement of American immigration laws, or when they organized a bus trip to Washington DC to march against immigration enforcement. Or when GALEO lobbied for county sheriffs in Georgia to refuse to honor ICE detainers for criminal illegal aliens. You may remember the case of Kate Steinle.

Lopez stayed with GALEO when its Executive Director, Jerry Gonzalez smeared Cobb County Police, the Cobb Sheriff and the Gwinnett Sheriff as racial profiling bigots for merely using federal programs to locate and report illegal aliens they find in their jails and normal course of duties. Lopez did not resign when GALEO’s Jerry Gonzalez stalked and screamed at state Rep Katie Dempsey at a panel discussion on E-Verify or at state Senator Renee Unterman in the state Capitol either.

Supported in his election by Democrats Roy Barnes and Jason Carter, now DeKalb state court judge Dax Lopez supported the race-baiting, identity politics GALEO corporation as a board member and allowed GALEO to use the prestige of his bench seat when GALEO joined the ACLU and other anti-enforcement groups in a federal lawsuit in an effort to overturn Georgia’s 2011 illegal immigration bill, HB 87.

Lopez did not resign from GALEO when they lobbied against English as our official language. Or when GALEO lobbied against voter ID.

Now, Dax Lopez wants to be a federal judge. For life. We think we have enough Obama-appointed activist federal judges. We hope you do as well.

We are asking that you contact both Georgia U.S. Senators and urge them to “just say no to Dax Lopez.” Contact info at the end of this request.

And we hope you will assist us in soliciting help from Georgia state officials who ran as conservatives to stop consideration of Dax Lopez before that process moves to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. Under the “blue slip” process, either one or both of Georgia’s U.S. Senators can end consideration before it moves to committee.

MORE ACTION NEEDED
Please send the below request to your state and local elected officials?

Dear conservative elected official,

We are asking that you send a short letter of objection to both Georgia U.S. senators on further consideration of anti-enforcement Dax Lopez for activist federal judge and to send us an electronic copy for public posting. We are asking that you pick a side.

Gwinnett County Sheriff Butch Conway, Cobb Sheriff Neil Warren and multiple state legislators (here and here and here and here and here for a few examples) have already made their objections clear with letters. We hope that you will join them.

We hope that you will be kind enough to reply. If you are unwilling to help, please explain ?

Thank you,

Your very concerned conservative voter,

name here_____________
