Cobb United for Change Coalition

WHAT: “Town Hall Public Meeting”

WHEN: May 29th, 2008, 7:00 p.m.

WHERE: Cobb County Central Library (266 Roswell Street, N. E. Marietta, GA 30060)

WHY: Citizens in Cobb County to come to a forum and voice their concerns about what is happening in Cobb County, i.e., racial profiling of African-Americans & Latino’s by law enforcement and/or the judicial system; the Cobb Sheriff Department’s unfair targeting of hard-working immigrants; law enforcement accountability- especially relating to minority youth; unfair housing practices; discrimination in hiring practices and disparities in the educational system.

GOAL: Start an intelligent, open and effective dialogue between the Cobb United for Change Coalition, all Cobb County residents, and Cobb County elected officials (including law enforcement) for amiable resolutions to current issues that are negatively affecting our community.
