Illegal alien arrested in drive-by murder case

A 22-year-old Gainesville man was killed Sunday night in a drive-by shooting on Merck Street. — An investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office indicates that a male driving an orange pickup truck driven by Hugo M Tepanca pulled up in front of a residence on Merck Street about 8 p.m…

Tepanca, has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. A 287g detainer has also been placed on him due to his immigration status. He is currently being held without bond at the Hall County Jail.
