The 2008 Georgia Legislature is history…

After I catch up on some sleep, I will write up an outline of the legislation that passed effecting illegal immigration. There is more than most people realize.

In addition to SB 350 – the bill that will allow for arresting never been licensed drivers and felony charges for repeat offenders, HB 978 passed! It allows for the impoundment of autos driven by drivers who have never obtained a Georgia driver’s licenses – who are largely illegal aliens. The law, if signed by the governor, will make potential illegals look for more friendly states. See here for an example of how HB 978 is regarded in Mexico.

Both of these bills passed as a direct result of your hard work in phone calls and e-mails to legislators – we beat the well-funded open borders lobby.

Some info at the end of this MDJ report on the 2008 session.

More next week.
