The far far left attacks us…again

Posted by D.A. King at 7:50 am - Email the author   Print This Post Print This Post

It is not hard to tell when we are making life difficult for the far left open borders/illegal alien lobby – they will let you know very clearly. Yesterday Sam Zamarripa’s somewhat comical and IQ challenged gofer, Jerry Gonzalez at GALEO, along with the Anti-Defamation League and Bill Nigut hit back at my recent MDJ column and Athens Banner Herald letter regarding Jerry Gonzalez and his Bossman.

These people seem very upset that amnesty-again was killed in the Senate in June and are in the process (again) of attempting to marginalize all concerned with half truths, out of context quotes and out right lies. They don’t like the fact that Americans against open borders get on national TV and radio and will do all they can to stop that fact.

These cretins seem to resent referring to millions of illegal aliens in our nation as a “horde”. If the word fits…

Me, DIS and a long list list of other people and groups who fight illegal immigration are smeared in a lengthy ADL hit piece released yesterday. It can be read here. Take your time and read it all. Note that as proof that my friend Terry Anderson is “anti-immigrant” ( he is not, but he certainly is anti-illegal immigration – lots of that going around) the ADL provides a video of Terry saying he is not anti-immigrant.

You can’t make stuff like this up.

Groups Highlighted in Report
The Dustin Inman Society
Mothers Against Illegal Aliens
The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR)
Choose Black America
You Donā€™t Speak for Me
Americans for Legal Immigration Political Action Committee (ALIPAC)
Grass Fire

There is a news item – with quotes – on the ADL attack in today’s Marietta Daily Journal here. I will respond to these un-American hate-mongers soon, but today we fight the Dream Act amnesty.

I wear the attacks from these people as a badge of honor and am proud that I have made all the right enemies.

HELP STOP THE DREAM ACT AMNESTY!

Posted by D.A. King at 7:00 am - Email the author   Print This Post Print This Post

Please call at least 6 U.S. Senators!

List of Amnesty – again Senators here.

DREAM Act Amnesty Back on the Agenda!
Call Senators NOW!! CONTACT INFO HERE!

Things are moving rapidly on Capitol Hill. Senate offices and Hill newspapers are reporting today that the DREAM Act will likely be on the Senate floor as a stand-alone bill within days! This bill – S.2205 – was introduced last week by Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL), Chuck Hagel (R-NE), and Richard Lugar (R-IN). One source indicates that action may take place on the DREAM Act as early as WEDNESDAY!!!

S.2205 grants amnesty to illegal aliens who arrived in the U.S. before the age of 16. There is NO CAP on the numbers and NO AGE LIMIT for applicants. In addition, the purported educational requirement in the bill is virtually meaningless. Paragraph d(2) of Section 4 allows Homeland Security to waive the educational requirement for applicants who can show ā€œcompelling circumstancesā€ for the inability to meet it. Finally, the bill also provides that illegal aliens who are granted amnesty under the bill are eligible for federal financial aid.

Right now, staffers are anticipating two important votes: the first will be a cloture vote to bring the bill up on the floor; the second will be a cloture vote to end debate on the bill itself. Please call your Senators immediately and urge them to VOTE NO ON BOTH CLOTURE VOTES! If the first cloture vote prevails and the DREAM Act gets onto the floor, news sources indicate that the bill may become the springboard for numerous other immigration amendments. One mentioned in particular is an increase to high-tech H-1B visas.

Finally, there is one more threat on the Hill at this very moment. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison has filed an amendment to the FY08 Labor-Health and Human Services Appropriations Bill (H.R. 3043) that may increase employment-based green cards by up to 300,000. These green cards would be aimed at importing nurses and high-tech employees to compete with American workers.

Call your Senators now and urge them to vote NO on amnesty and NO on importing foreign workers who will drive down wages and compete with American workers for jobs. Tell your Senators that if they were serious about true immigration reform, they would:

secure the border;
mandate employment eligibility verification;
put an end to state and local sanctuary policies;
stop businesses from importing cheap foreign labor; and
end chain migration.
The American people expect real solutions, not short-term “fixes” that pander to big business and corporate lobbyists.

Immigration lawyers on wheels in Georgia

October 18, 2007
(4:00)

Illegal immigration has become a contentious issue in the state of Georgia. Hundreds of thousands of immigrants have settled in the state over the past decade…many of them illegally. The huge influx has raised the ire of people on both sides of the immigration debate. The World’s Matthew Bell explains.

My Athens Banner Herald letter to editor today in response to another recent race-baiting attack on Senator Rogers from Jerry Gonzalez

D.A. King: Illegal aliens’ apologists are truly anti-immigrant

Saturday, October 20, 2007

In its Oct. 10 coverage of a sparsely attended rally against immigration law enforcement at the University of Georgia, the Athens Banner-Herald has done no favor for Americans – Hispanic or not. We should all be working hard to keep the issue of the organized crime of illegal immigration and illegal employment focused on the law – where it should be.

The brooding anger from Jerry Gonzalez and others who make their living advocating for illegal aliens is always expressed the same way: Anyone who demands secure borders and an equal application of the law – even for illegals who come from Latin America – are hateful bigots who are against Hispanics, immigration, children and Spanish speakers.

Not many Americans are buying this rubbish. We all should ask from where the hate-speech is really coming.

Gonzalez has a vested financial interest in keeping his race-baiting rhetoric on illegal immigration in the news. He works for former state Sen. Sam Zamarripa, who founded the far-left Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials – with such all-American luminaries as Jane Fonda as founding friends. Zamarripa also is a founding partner of United Americas Bank, which is openly making mortgage loans to illegal aliens. Follow the money.

Authored by Georgia state Sen. Chip Rogers, R-Woodstock, the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act (SB 529) does nothing more than require governments and residents in Georgia to obey long-standing federal immigration laws using available federal tools.

How un-American, huh? Gonzalez and Zamarripa fought furiously to prevent its passage.

Nothing could be more “anti-immigrant” – or anti-Hispanic – than to associate real, legal immigrants, who join the American family according to American law, with illegals who demand to choose which laws apply and those who make a living out of screaming “racism” at the majority of Americans who simply want their rule of law back.

ATTRITION THROUGH ENFORCEMENT!

Thompson takes swipe at GOP foes
Found in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson breezed through metro Atlanta ahead of a rare line of thunderclouds on Thursday, brandishing his conservative credentials and accusing GOP rivals Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney of favoring “sanctuaries” for illegal immigrants.

In a brief interview, Thompson also addressed questions that some conservative Christian leaders have raised about his religious convictions and work he once did as a lobbyist for an abortion rights group.

He said he wasn’t bothered by the scrutiny.

“If you’re right with the man upstairs, and you’re right with those who love you, and those who you love, then everything else will take care of itself,” said the former Tennessee senator and “Law & Order” actor.

Thompson’s first foray into Georgia consisted of two fund-raisers and an airport gathering of 70 supporters and reporters in Kennesaw.

In a hangar at McCollum Airport, Thompson was endorsed by two Cobb County officials, Sheriff Neil Warren and District Attorney Pat Head. In July, Warren became the first sheriff in Georgia to have his deputies trained to determine the immigration status of foreign workers who land in the county jail.

Thompson put illegal immigration atop a long list of positions he said proved his conservative pedigree.

Thompson accused both Romney and Giuliani of tolerating “sanctuary” policies endorsed by some U.S. cities, in which local authorities routinely don’t inquire into an individual’s immigration status.

Later, Thompson said that after securing the U.S. border, the millions of undocumented foreign workers now working in the United States could be addressed through attrition.

“They set up a false choice ā€”- either we get giant busloads of people tomorrow, and round them all up, or we have to grant amnesty. Attrition by enforcement is what makes the most sense,” he said.

California is going to become a Hispanic state and if anyone doesn’t like it they should leave, they ought to go back to Europe.” Mario Obledo, founder of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, 1998.

This has set us back tremendously.” – Jerry Gonzalez, executive director of the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials on Cobb County’s policy of using available federal tools to enforce American law. (as reported by the Atlanta newspaper), October, 2006.

Having long studied illegal immigration and the characters involved in that organized crime here in Georgia, it is very interesting to me to watch as GALEO’s Jerry Gonzalez receives media attention in the MDJ and elsewhere.

Gonzalez hopes we will believe that equal application of the law is somehow “anti-immigrant” “anti-Latino” and “discriminatory.”

Coming from the far, far left and, rather comically, ignoring the fact that most Americans recognize the difference between a legal act and those that violate the laws most of us are held to, Gonzalez is shameless in his never-ending attempt to equate all Hispanics/Latinos and real immigrants with illegal aliens. What could be a greater insult to Latinos – or be more anti-immigrant?

Gonzalez is now howling “discrimination” because Cobb Sheriff Neil Warren is using his authority to alert the feds to illegal aliens who have committed additional crimes. This – and Gonzalez’s marching with MALDEF in the streets of Atlanta last year leading self-announced illegals demanding an end to enforcement of American immigration and employment laws – provides clear insight into GALEO’s real agenda.

Because he presents himself as speaking for an entire ethnic group, a question: Why does the law-abiding Latino community not raise its voice and disavow this race-baiter?

My friend Olga Robles, who lives a few blocks from the U.S.-Mexican border in Douglas, Ariz., is very familiar with people like that. Her family came here from Mexico many years ago. She will proudly tell you that she is an American. No hyphen. But she is called an “apple polisher for the ‘Gringos,” when she speaks up against illegal border crossers who swarm into her yard at night.

For his demand that America secure its borders and enforce its immigration and employment laws, my friend – and a former Canyon County Commissioner in Idaho Robert Vasquez – is called a “coconut” (brown on the outside, white on the inside). Vasquez, a Vietnam War veteran who left part of his right leg there, happens to be of Mexican descent.

One must wonder where the Americans like Olga Robles and Vasquez are here in Georgia.

We guess that Gonzalez and MALDEF are not too keen on organizations like “You Don’t Speak for Me,” a national group that describes its purpose as “American Hispanic voices speaking out against illegal immigration.”

We would all be better off if the big donor money – including that from Jane Fonda, State Farm Insurance company and the local Teamsters Union 728 – was going to these folks instead of GALEO, and if UGA’s Fanning Institute chose a more pro-American organization with which to form a “partnership.”

Gonzalez is less than happy to know that little tidbits of facts like these get out to the public, particularly from this American. His normal response is to wail that a “convicted felon” should not be allowed to speak out against illegal immigration or ethnic hustlers. The criminal conviction here is true enough.

In 1977, this writer admitted to taking bets on football games and was punished by the U.S. court system with a fine and probation.

I never thought to use the “I was just looking for a better life” defense – or to scream that having violated the law, I could blame enforcement on “discrimination.” Because enforcement works, I would put the odds of my ever gambling illegally again at a thousand to one. Enforcement of our immigration laws will eventually have the same result on illegal aliens and criminal employers.

As for Gonzalez, GALEO and MALDEF, one can only hope that Americans don’t judge all Latinos by their actions.

Gonzalez often hosts showings of a “documentary” titled “Fighting 529″ on Georgia college campuses. If you want to see why he thinks Georgia’s 2006 law (SB 529) aimed at illegal immigration is “discriminatory,” don’t miss it.

Members of Latino gang charged with race-motivated crimes

Federal prosecutors today charged members of the Latino Florencia 13 street gang with racially motivated crimes against African Americans, including several attempted homicides. — Authorities said the gang specifically tried to eliminate rival African American gangs in South L.A. and the Florence- Firestone area in an effort to “cleanse” the neighborhood.
