Heard enough about illegal immigrant issue

Written by Charles Goodaker

Dear editor, Okay, Iā€™ve heard enough about the illegal issue. I canā€™t believe the ignorance, naivety, and hypocrisy of so many people on this issue. Many people argue that the ā€œillegalsā€ are a burden, they donā€™t pay taxes, they are ā€œcriminalsā€, and many other slanderous and borderline racist comments. I want to take a few minutes of your time and ask you to think about a couple of things.

First, what if you or your family lived in a part of this world that was so poor that you could only eat rice and beans for your meals? What if your insect ridden home, if you had one, consisted of four dilapidated walls, a warped worn out floor, a leaky roof, and no HVAC? What if the water you drank was so contaminated that you had to endanger your life just to quench your thirst? What if, when you could actually find some work, you had to work 12 hours a day doing back-breaking manual labor and your pay was merely $10 per day? What if, when you or your children were sick, you had to ā€œtough it outā€ because you could not afford medicine? What would you do??? What would you risk to have a better life?

Second, the issue about ā€œillegalsā€ coming to the United States so they can live tax free is just ludicrous. They are trying to survive, not get out of paying taxes. Furthermore, THEY DO PAY TAXES!! Letā€™s take for example a legal person who makes $8.60 per hour and about $330 per week. Out of her paycheck she pays $11 in federal income withholding, $12 to the state, and about $25 to Social Security and Medicare. This leaves her with about $282 dollars to buy food and pay bills. Most of what she spends will again be taxed via a sales tax. At the 2% to 6% tax rate, sheā€™ll pay about $11 in sales taxes. This gives us a grand total of about $60 per week in taxes. However, because she is a citizen, makes very little money, and has a family, sheā€™ll get most of her federal and state income taxes refunded. So letā€™s say in the end she actually contributes $3 to the feds, $3 to the state, $25 in SS/ MC, and $11 in sales taxes. Her new total is $42 per week.

Now letā€™s look at a typical illegal alien. They generally make less because they are often paid in cash. Letā€™s assume that person makes $7 per hour or $266 per week. They still have to have food, shelter and pay bills. That person first pays rent because they canā€™t own a home. And, although our other person may also pay rent, the illegal person pays rent in an otherwise empty space or undeveloped piece of property resulting in additional property tax revenue and heavily taxed rental income to the landlord. Letā€™s say that the rent generates $100 per month in taxable income to the landlord. This would result in tax revenue of about $30 per month ($7.50 per week). That same illegal alien also pays sales taxes on everything they buy. Using the $11 per week sales tax number, that personā€™s overall contribution to the tax revenue system is about $18.50 per week.

You might be tempted to say AH HA!! The illegal person pays $23.50 less than the citizen ($42-$18.50). But, the illegal person doesnā€™t pay into Social Security/ Medicare, and rightfully so, as they are not entitled to that money and wouldnā€™t be using it. So, if they arenā€™t entitled to the benefits of Social Security/ Medicare then itā€™s not correct to use that figure for comparison. This leaves a shocking truth. The illegal is paying at the minimum an equal share of taxes, but possibly more. Many illegal people use counterfeit Social Security cards and tax IDs just to get jobs (Criminal, yes, but again, itā€™s survival). This results in huge 100% profitable tax revenues to both the state and the federal government. Why, because they are paying into the Social Security/Medicare and income tax systems with a fake number. This means no Social Security/ Medicare withdrawals and no tax refunds because no tax return gets filed.

It goes on here…[really]

DO NOT READ THIS! Immigration and Usurpation – Elites, Power, and the Peopleā€™s Will

Posted by D.A. King at 11:00 pm - Email the author   Print This Post Print This Post

While I am down with what ever bug [ I HAD A FLU SHOT] it is that is making me feel like this, DO NOT READ THE BELOW FROM THE CENTER FOR IMMIGRATION STUDIES on the true goals of the continued violation of the law and the Constitution by the American government.

From CIS, Immigration and Usurpation – Elites, Power, and the Peopleā€™s Will By Fredo Arias-King – who worked for the Mexican government at one time.

“…these legislators seemingly believed that they could weaken the restraining and frustrating straightjacket devised by the Founding Fathers and abetted by American norms. In that idealized “new” United States, political uncertainty, demanding constituents, difficult elections, and accountability in general would “go away” after tinkering with the People, who have given lawmakers their privileges but who, like a Sword of Damocles, can also “unfairly” take them away. “

I hope you read the entire paper, but don’t miss this:

Bill Richardson, who had served in Clintonā€™s cabinet and later became governor of New Mexico, kindly stopped to speak to our delegation at the Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles. He commented favorably to us: “What do Hispanics want? Fully funded government programs!” The Economist mentioned about his state:

New Mexico is a poor place, with one of the highest proportion of people living on food stamps ā€¦ Its political tradition also long had a Latin American feel, based around a padrĆ³n system of clients and bosses. The bosses ran grocery stores, gave you credit, helped you if you needed a job. And all you had to do was vote for the Democrats ā€¦ New Mexican politics is still about jobs, contracts and personal loyalty, not ideology. And Mr. Richardson personifies this.6

Or this

Some legislators had also mentioned to us (oftentimes laughing) how they had “defanged” or “gutted” anti-immigration bills and measures, by neglecting to fund this program or tabling that provision, or deleting the other measure, etc. “Yes, we passed that law, but it canā€™t work because we alsoā€¦” was a usual comment to assuage the Mexican
delegations.

Conclusion
Samuel Huntington speculated that the American “creed” (values and beliefs) cannot be used to openly oppose mass immigration.16 That may change. So far, the immigration debate has centered on the immigrants themselvesā€”whether they are worthy or unworthy. This debate is a red herring,

Here for the entire report. Think about it.

Billy Inman letter to editor in the Cherokee Tribune …consequences

Posted by D.A. King at 12:44 am - Email the author   Print This Post Print This Post

Dustin’s Dad, Billy Inman in the Cherokee Tribune:
Thanks to commissioners for stand

DEAR EDITOR:

I want to say a little bit about illegal immigration and thank the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners and others across the United States who are taking a stand on this problem to discourage illegal immigration, not just here, but all across the United States.

No one is exempt from illegal immigration. It seems to be getting worse daily, just look around. Anything done or trying to be done on this problem is a plus, but more has got to be done.

I am very concerned with illegal immigration. It changed my life as I knew it Father’s Day weekend of 2000 when an illegal immigrant driving negligently ran into my family’s car at estimated 62 mph while we were stopped at a red light. It took my son’s life at the scene and nearly took my and my wife’s lives, too. My wife is still in a wheelchair and the man that caused this can’t be found.
Death like this isn’t right and isn’t acceptable and I feel it’s preventable if our federal and all of our governments would enforce our laws and secure our boarders.

It’s illegal aliens’ decision to come illegally (they know the consequences when they come) and I feel they need to take the consequences that come with their actions – not us.

A note from a Dustin Inman Society supporter…in Pennsylvania

Comments:

To Mr. D.A. King of the Dustin Inman Society

How sad that our government has forced us into the situation in which we find ourselves today. The countless hours and dollars which need to be spent demanding secure borders and enforcement of our Rule of Law is tragic.

I read about your plight via the news articles posted at americanpatrol.com and was greatly saddened. So many of us are already struggling to hang on as the American Dream is being pried away from us by Corporate America.

My husband is a 64-year-old truckdriver. Because of financial obligations and the cost of healthcare, he is going to have to continue working for at least 5 more years. With the onset (I believe this month) of Mexican national truckers being allowed on American highways under NAFTA, not only is his job in jeopardy, but most assuredly he will lose his retirement benefits. The funds simply won’t be there. Trucking will be another one of those jobs Americans didn’t want to do.

We can ill afford to send you $100. Our plight is simple. Do we sock that money away, to provide for retirement? Or do we give it away to someone who has been instrumental in the fight to reclaim America–thereby gambling on winning that fight and retaining our job and retirement benefits?

When we throw into the equation consideration for the future of our children and grandchildren and the basic fundamental of right vs. wrong, then the decision is simple. What my husband and I cannot afford is to turn a deaf ear. Too much is at stake.

I know we have seen you on television on several occasions and have seen you quoted in numerous articles. We are also aware that Georgia appears to be leading the nation in the struggle to fight illegal immigration on the local level, while most of the rest of our state governments sit on their hands and say it’s a job for the Feds. This is, in no small part, due to your dedication and determination, I am sure.

On behalf of my entire family, thank you for a job well done. We pray you will be able to continue fighting our battle for (and with) us.
