Clayton County police have identified a suspect in the shooting deaths of a pregnant Stockbridge woman and her friend.
Police are looking for Abraham Alonso Alcaraz-Vasquez, who celebrated his 22nd birthday Thursday night at the club where the woman danced. Alcaraz-Vasquez is charged with two counts of murder and one count of aggravated assault, police said.
Maj. Tim Robinson said Alcaraz-Vasquez shot Jitaan Leigh Ann Hornsby, 19, in the head after forcing her car to stop about 2 a.m. Friday on Conley Road not far from the Crazy Horse Saloon where she and friend and roommate Tiffany Smith, 19, danced.
On Saturday Robinson said detectives believe Alcaraz-Vasquez may be headed toward Mexico. They are in contact with Texas law-enforcement and have fowarded information to them.
They had no description of the car he was last seen driving other than it is green.
Hornsby was 17 weeks pregnant and died Friday afternoon.
