HB 87 just passed out of the House Judiciary ( non-civil) committee by a very wide margin of voice votes.

HOORAY and THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR WORK SO FAR!

Now we must call the House Rules committee to express our majority support for HB87. Contact info coming soon.

Rep. Matt Ramsey did a splendid job of presenting his important bill and answering questions from the committee members.

PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL REP. MATT RAMSEY’S CAPITOL OFFICE TO SAY THANK YOU!!! GREAT JOB!!! WE SUPPORT YOU AND YOUR COURAGE! Contact info HERE

He took the time to make it clear that Macon Telegraph and Associated Press stories saying HB 87 had any exception for farmers, the Ag industry or any visa usage were entirely false.

WE CONDEMN THE MACON TELEGRAPH FOR PUBLISHING A FALSE AND COMPLETELY UNBALANCED NEWS STORY LAST WEEK ON HB 87, H2A visas and E-Verify and for not running a correction last week. I PERSONALLY INFORMED EDITORS AND REPORTERS AT THE TELEGRAPH OF THE COMPLETE LACK OF BALANCE AND THE FALSE, INACCURATE STATEMENTS LAST MONDAY.

WE DEMAND A CORRECTION FROM THE MACON TELEGRAPH AND NOW FROM THE ASSOCIATED PRESS.
